There are a variety of ways you can support The Sidra Project, from small acts such as sharing your experience with others, to more involved contributions like sponsorship. Every effort – no matter how small or large – can help advance refugee resettlement efforts in Canada.

Please select the action(s) you pledge to explore to support successful refugee resettlement in your area (we encourage you to select three). As you select your action area of interest, a window will drop down with details on ways you can act today. As some actions require more thought than others, we will also send you an email with this information so you can follow-up with your selected actions in your own time.

Become a COSTI Immigrant Services Volunteer

You can help welcome refugees during their first few weeks in Canada by assisting with day-to-day activities, such as driving and escorting newcomers to doctor/dentist appointments, after-hour clinics.

If you are interested in a long-term commitment, COSTI can match you with a family where you can help them with their move and unpacking, take them grocery shopping, help them become familiar with their neighbourhood, including social outings, events, outdoor activities and using public transit.

Fill out the volunteer form and send it to [email protected]. You can email Mirna EI Sabbagh, COSTl’s Community Engagement Manager for more information — [email protected].
